Increased Activity Critical in Fighting Obesity

Obesity in children has increased dramatically in recent years. Child obesity statistics reported by the Department of Health show that obesity prevalence in children aged 2-10 rose from 9.9% to 14.3% from 1995 to 2004.

The reasons for this increase in childhood obesity is not fully understood, but increased activity is recognised as an important element in fighting this disturbing trend (read more).

With the increased pressures of modern life and the unpredictable weather in the UK, it can be hard to make time to ensure your children get the exercise they need every day. We believe that children will exercise through active play if it is fun and easy to organise.
