Terms & Conditions
2.1. We deliver anywhere in mainland UK (including Highlands and Islands, but NOT the Channel Isles), Europe (including the Republic of Ireland), USA and Canada. Our standard shipment is via courier, which has a delivery time of 3 to 5 working days. Please see our website for our delivery charges. We can arrange for next day Special delivery, please contact us and we will advise you of the cost for this service. If you require a delivery to the address outside of our delivery area, please contact us for a quote.2.2. We endeavour to process your order as quickly as possible and will usually dispatch your goods within 5 days of receiving the order (subject to receiving satisfactory payment, see section 3 below). If an item is no longer available or is out of stock we shall inform you and advise you of the expected delivery time. We may contact you by telephone so please ensure that you have provided us a daytime contact number. By placing an order you confirm that you have provided us the correct billing address of your debit/credit card and the correct delivery address. 2.3. We cannot accept responsibility for delays in delivery caused by our suppliers or by any other third party. Hence we cannot be liable for an item that fails to arrive by a required date.
3.1. We accept credit/debit card payments on line. Alternatively you can pay by cheque providing it is drawn on a UK bank and has the cheque guarantee number and expiry date written on the reverse. Please enclose your cheque with the completed order form made payable to "Principal Objective Limited" and send to:
3.2. Goods will only be dispatched once full payment has been received and the cheque has been cleared. Please allow up to 5 working days for us to process your cheque payment.
5.1. We are fully compliant with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling Regulations) Act 2000, which allows for a 7 day "cooling off" period. If you decide to return an item that you do not like then you must contact us first by telephone anytime up to 7 working days starting the day after delivery. Once we have confirmed that the goods can be returned, you must ensure that the item returned is in perfect condition with all the original packaging. Upon satisfactory receipt of the goods we shall issue a refund for the cost of the goods only, EXCLUDING ANY DELIVERY CHARGES THAT YOU HAVE PAID, either by cheque or the original method of payment. However, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF RETURNING THE ITEM BACK TO US. When you arrange delivery, we would strongly recommend that you obtain a "Proof of postage" certificate from the Post Office (free of charge) as this will be required in the event of making a claim against Royal Mail for lost or damaged returns. 5.2. Our policy on returns does not affect your Statutory Rights as a consumer. If goods are received damaged or faulty or not what was ordered then we will offer you a refund or if you prefer an alternative product. In such as case please contact us by phone on 0871 288 7379 in the first instance. Please note that you must contact us first before the goods are returned in order for us to decide the most cost effective method for returning the product to us. Once we have decided the method of return we shall pay for the reasonable delivery cost of the goods. When returning an item back to us please enclose all the packaging, instructions, leaflets etc that came with the product, together with a brief explanation of the fault. We also recommend that you obtain a Proof of Postage from the Post Office when returning the item back to us as we would be unable to refund you the postage costs without this certificate.
6.1. We reserve the right not to produce any order that we deem unacceptable. In such circumstances we will refund in full the amount you have paid. 6.2. We reserve the right to alter our terms and conditions, products and prices without giving prior notice. It is your responsibility to check whether there has been any variation to any of our terms and conditions. 6.3. Principal Objective Limited will attempt to ensure that the details on the website are accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that our website is free of any discrepancies. We do not make any warranties that our site is free of viruses or other disruptive properties. We therefore cannot be held responsible for errors or omissions. 6.4. All warranties, whether made expressly or by implication in respect of this website or the content, information or products included in the website including, without limitation, warranties regarding merchantability and fitness for specific purpose are hereby excluded as far as permitted by law. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. 6.5. Our liability in contract, negligence, tort, pre-contract or other representations or otherwise arising in connection with the supply or contemplated supply of goods shall be limited in aggregate to all the sums paid by you to us. We cannot be held liable for any consequential or indirect loss, whether this be loss of business, profits, or damages of any kind whatsoever in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of the use of our website or the products and services offered. Nothing in these purchase terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation. 6.6. Our terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
7.1. Principal Objective Ltd. maintains very high standards for the protection of your privacy over the Internet. The purpose of this statement is to explain what information we collect and how we deal with it. 7.2. We only use the information we collect about you lawfully. We aim to safeguard the privacy of all our users while providing a high quality of personal customer service. 7.3. When you buy goods from us, we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, delivery address, contact details and, credit/debit card details. We keep a record of some information so that we can recognise you as a registered customer and fulfill your orders as efficiently as possible. We do not keep a record of your credit or debit card details. 7.4. We keep a record of your purchases with us so that we can deal with any queries you may have in respect of your order. 7.5. We keep a record of any e-mail correspondence you send us. This helps us to identify and reply to any problems or concerns with our products or services. 7.6. We do not sell or disclose any information obtained about you to anyone outside of our company, unless it is required by law, or disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of customers, employees or property. We do not send out unsolicited e-mails or use any of your personal details for marketing purposes.
8.2. While we aim to avoid complaints by providing a quality service, we recognise that an essential part of any quality service is the provision of an effective complaints procedure. Any complaints should be forwarded by e-mail to info@housemonkeys.co.uk, marked for the attention of Elena Jones. Complaints should be made within seven days of the complaint first arising. We will endeavour to respond within five working days, with the intention of resolving all complaints fairly, confidentially, effectively and speedily. |
